From CS:GO Player to $3M+ Raised: The We360.ai Founder Story

Most SaaS founder stories start in Silicon Valley. This one starts in Bhopal, with a gamer.

The background

Arnav Gupta, 25, is the founder and CEO of We360.ai, a workforce analytics and productivity software company. He studied at Delhi Public School in Bhopal, then completed a Bachelor of IT & Game Development at the University of Wollongong in Australia.

Before founding the company, he competed seriously. He represented New South Wales in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and PUBG PC, and reached a #2 state ranking. According to the company, that is where he picked up the strategy and team-leadership habits he now uses to run it.

The milestones, as the company reports them

  • Launched We360.ai V1 and went live with 500 paid users.
  • Raised a $500K seed round, then pre-Series A rounds of $600K and $2M: over $3M across three rounds from global investors.
  • Received a grant of ₹11 lakh at the MP StartUp Conclave in Indore on 13 May 2022.
  • Featured in Forbes Global (July 2023) for Best Customer Support.
  • Named among the Top Most Innovative Companies of India 2024 by Times of India.
  • Ranked #1 for "Easiest to Use" employee monitoring software on G2 for six consecutive quarters.

Where it stands today

  • 10,000+ companies
  • 120,000+ active users
  • 21+ countries
  • 2 million+ hours monitored

What we take from the story

  1. Support can be a growth strategy. Forbes recognised the company for customer support, not only for features.
  2. Ease of use is a feature. Six quarters at #1 on G2 for ease of use is a consistent result, not a one-off.
  3. Small markets can still build big companies. This one grew from a Tier-2 city, not a startup hub.

Why this matters for your team

If you are choosing tools for a small team, the same lesson applies. In our guide to the 10 best project management tools, the pattern is that the best tool is the one your team will actually use every day, not the one with the longest feature list. We360.ai itself is on that list, for teams that want task management tied to real time-tracking data.

Best Employee Monitoring Application: 7 Questions to Ask Before You Install Anything

Picking an employee monitoring application usually starts with a feature comparison and ends with regret. The feature list looks the same everywhere: screenshots, app usage, attendance. What differs is how the tool behaves once people know it is running. Use these seven questions to separate the useful ones from the noisy ones. 1. What decision will this data change? If the answer is "we will just have visibility," stop. Good monitoring ties to a decision: rebalancing workload, spotting burnout early, or verifying that a client's billable hours are real. A best-fit employee monitoring application is built around those decisions, not around watching individuals. 2. Can employees see their own data? Transparency is the single biggest predictor of whether a rollout goes smoothly. When people can open a dashboard and see what you see, the tool feels like a mirror instead of a camera. 3. Does it work across your device mix? Many teams run Windows, Mac and the occasional...

Employee Productivity Monitoring Tools: The 30-Day Scorecard Every Buyer Needs

Every vendor demo of employee productivity monitoring tools looks impressive for the same reason: the data is clean, the team is fictional and nobody is stressed. Your team is real. So instead of judging tools by their demos, judge them by a 30-day scorecard run on your own people. Here is the exact one. Week 1: Set the baseline Pick one team of five to eight people. Install the tool with their knowledge and consent, and write down three things their manager believes today: who is overloaded, who has spare capacity, and where time disappears. These are your predictions. The tool's job is to confirm or correct them. Week 2: Check the signal Review the first full week of data. Ask: did the tool identify the same overloaded person? Did it surface something the manager missed? A useful tool surprises you at least once. A tool that only tells you what you already knew is not worth the license. Week 3: Stress-test the edge cases How does it treat someone on leave? Does a long rea...

Employee Productivity Software: 5 Myths That Waste Your Budget

Most companies buy employee productivity software the way people buy gym memberships: with great intentions and no plan for Tuesday. Six months later the dashboards are gathering dust and nobody can say what changed. The software was rarely the problem. The beliefs behind the purchase were. Here are five myths worth dropping before you spend a rupee or a dollar. Myth 1: More data means better decisions Forty charts do not beat three good ones. The teams that get value pick a few numbers, such as active hours, focus time and workload spread, and review them weekly. Everything else is noise until a real question demands it. Myth 2: Productivity software is a surveillance tool It becomes one when it is hidden. Used openly, with employees seeing their own dashboards, it works more like a fitness tracker: personal feedback first, team summary second. The productivity tracking features in We360.ai are built around that open model. Myth 3: Busy equals productive An overloaded person lo...
